The Wilson family lives in Elmore. The members of the family have colorful bodies, puffy heads, and, in the case of the females, hair. All of the members wear headbands, except for Harold.

- The first names of every member of the family (possibly excluding Jackie's grandfather) are spelled with six letters.
- The males both have cloud-like bodies, while both females look humanoid.
- Because Ben Bocquelet and some of the show's staff disliked Rachel's appearance in "The Party," her character has been largely phased out from the series, save for a brief flashback in "The Matchmaker" and a clip in "Darwin's Yearbook: Clayton." In the latter, it is revealed that the in-universe reason for her absence after season 1 is because she went to college. Despite this, photos featuring the family excise Rachel completely and her disappearance is never addressed in the series proper.
