"The Pants" is a four-page comic of The Amazing World of Gumball. It was published in KaBOOM! Summer Blast! 2014 issue for Free Comic Book Day.
Synopsis
Gumball wants to include Darwin by giving him a pair of pants, but Darwin can't seem to be able to fit in.

In the kids bedroom Gumball excitedly informs Darwin that he has a gift for him, much to Darwin's excitement. Claiming they will help him be more like his role model, himself, Gumball presents him a pair of pants exactly like his own. Although a little apprehensive Darwin is pleased with the gift and puts them on. Unfortunately, they don't fit around his waist and immediately fall down. Gumball attempts to pull them up further, completely encasing Darwin's head, but the latter is now unable to see and thus reluctantly gives up on the idea of wearing them.
Gumball takes the pants back, disappointed that his gift failed, but admits they were pretty dirty anyway. Darwin meanwhile is heartbroken, mourning how close he was to being able to wear pants. Gumball comforts him and insists they aren't giving up yet and that he has another idea. Ripping up the pants, he makes what he calls "waistless pants", though upon trying them on Darwin quickly realizes they are practically just socks now. Gumball scraps the idea and tries a third idea, painting pants onto Darwin. This works, but doesn't last long as Nicole comes in with a hose and power washes the two, cleaning the pants off.
Darwin, disheartened, gives up on the idea of wearing pants. Gumball however, realizes there is another way Darwin can be like him. Much to Darwin's humiliation, his brother removes his pants and underwear before dragging him outside. The two walk down the street, Gumball wearing nothing but his sweater. Although Darwin appreciates the sentiment, he pleads for Gumball to go home and put his pants back on. Gumball is conflicted at the idea, as doing so would mean Darwin would no longer be like him, but his brother assures him that it's okay. Although he doesn't have pants he has something else that matters even more- shoes.
As Darwin cheerfully whistles a tune and walks away, Gumball stands disappointed, now wishing that he too had shoes.
