The Gumball Chronicles is a spinoff mini-series based on The Amazing World of Gumball, written and directed by voice director and picture editor Richard Overall. The series predominantly consists of clips recycled from previous episodes but features some new content. It premiered on October 5^th, 2020, with "The Curse of Elmore."

Four episodes collectively titled "The Amazing World of Gumball: Election Special," themed around the 2020 United States presidential election, aired on November 2, 2020, a day before Election Day.

Synopsis

Revisit hilarious and unforgettable moments from the series, wrapped in new animation and bundled into themed episodes. Gumball faces the trials and tribulations of any twelve-year-old kid – like being chased by a rampaging T-Rex, sleeping rough when a robot steals his identity, or dressing as a cheerleader and doing the splits to impress the girl of his dreams. Simple everyday issues we've all been through. Along with Darwin, Anais, Richard and Nicole, you don't want to miss all the fun!

Trivia

• This is the second mini-series to be a spinoff of The Amazing World of Gumball, as well as the second to be a clip show. The first in both cases was Darwin's Yearbook.
• In these shorts, Gumball is voiced by Duke Cutler, who took over from Nicolas Cantu.
• Technically, just like in Darwin's Yearbook, this mini-series contains every previous voice actors' voices for Gumball and Darwin, since none of the reused clips from previous episodes and seasons were redubbed.
• Despite the UK version of Darwin's Yearbook showing the characters typing in written English, the UK version of this spinoff has the characters send emoticons to communicate.
