"The Entrance" is the 12^th episode of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.

Synopsis

Gumball and Darwin attempt to make a big impression at the coolest party of the year with the most praise-worthy entrance the world has ever seen.

At Elmore Junior High, Tobias hands out fliers to various students inviting them to a "Tropi-Gal" themed party at his family's mansion. Gumball and Darwin are initially mixed on the invitation, but decide to go after Penny and Carrie decide its a better option than auditioning for Alan's Glee Club. Darwin is still hesitant given Tobias likely just wants to steal their girlfriends, but Gumball reveals the true reason he wants to go is so they can make a flashy entrance and hype up the crowd when they arrive, convincing Darwin to join in on his plan.

Later in their bedroom, Darwin tries to find outfits they could wear to the party. Gumball discovers that no one's accepted invites to Tobias' party online. Darwin suggests they send out gift boxes to lure everyone to the mansion, which Gumball agrees to do in a non-creepy way. They find a bunch of boxes in the attic that feature various items from their grandfather Frankie when he imported unregulated goods and recalls various products he sold that plagued Elmore. Darwin comes across a box of cologne called "Koologne" in bottles shaped like grenades. They decide to test it, and a black smoke cloud emerges from the bottle that distorts their vision, gives them wide smiles, and starts making them act more enthusiastic and loopy. They deem it fine to distribute and give all the boxes to Larry to send to every kid in Elmore. Larry gets exposed to the cologne and acts similarly before he drives off.

The brothers prepare for the party by putting bath bombs in the tub and have fun trying on various outfits and wigs as they hype each other up. Suddenly they are brought back to reality, where they have bloodshot eyes, torn fur from Gumball, one of Darwin's legs is just bones (as a result of trying to wax it in that state), and they've made an absolute mess out of the bathroom. They begin to panic as they see the sunset outside and realize the party started hours ago. Before they head to the mansion, Gumball sprays the cologne again to make them smell better.

They are sent back to their trippy state, where they begin rushing at high speeds to the mansion before stopping to look at Gumball curling his tongue like a taco. Darwin responds by biting into it, both because of the tongue's apparent deliciousness and as retribution for putting them in that state in the first place. They lament over the prospect of Tobias getting their girlfriends before shifting the blame on themselves and accidentally knocking out some construction workers in the process.

Eventually, Gumball decides to call a ride to the party, but considering their lack of money, he hatches a plan. 20 minutes later, Gumball and Darwin are out of their cologne-induced state again and find themselves in front of the Wilson mansion with a crashed taxi cab. The plan was that they order a ride to Tobias' mansion, cancel it, before placing another order to pick up at the party location and sneak out and into it, which he claims would work if they had been "chill". It is revealed that 20 minutes earlier, the still wired Gumball and Darwin were caught in the act and got kicked out of the cab by the scared driver Tony, before maniacally pursuing him in his cab causing him to crash.

Back in the present, the brothers see Tobias running towards them on his winding sidewalk. They are unsure of what the vibes of the party are like, but prepare to make their entrance regardless and deal with Tobias. Suddenly they are confronted by Donut Cop, who places them under arrest. He reveals the cologne they sent has made the other students as unhinged as they were, leading to a spike in property damage. As they get in the police car, Gumball asks if their girlfriends are at the party, but Donut Cop informs them that no one came as a result of their actions. In fact, Tobias was the one who reported them.

When Gumball asks if the cops are taking them home, an enraged Tobias arrives and screams that they're going to jail. This startles Donut Cop and causes him to drop the cologne, exposing himself, Gumball, Darwin, and Hamburger Cop to the toxic fumes. The animation takes on a gritty, street graffiti style as Gumball, Darwin, and the cops see themselves transform into demonic beings and take the car for a joyride.

What would be depicted is that they launch off a ramp with a graffiti artist before their car is hijacked by a yellow dragon controlled by another demon, who uses their vehicle as a skateboard before wiping out, losing its skin, and bursting into flames. A demon is then seen on the undercarriage of the car and slashes their tires, sending them careening into the police station.

When they come to, the Watterson brothers and the cops find they crashed into the cell containing the other students who were arrested as a result of the night's chaos. After a moment of somber silence, the rest of the students respond with a loud "Ohhh!" that Gumball and Darwin were anticipating all night. The students and cops then begin to dance and party in the cell. At the Wilson mansion, a lonely Tobias ponders why no one likes him and wonders if his rich upbringing has something to do with it. He hears the doorbell ring and finds what appears to be a cute anime girl and invites her in, but it's quickly revealed to be a ruse as a disguised thug invites his criminal associates to attack Tobias and raid the mansion.

The scenes in the police car were based on watercolors by graffiti artist Neck Face^[1], who also worked on the animation of Superjail! for Adult Swim.
- Neck makes a cameo appearance during this animation.
- An unfinished version of of this scene was leaked online in June 2025.^[2]
Alkaio Thiele, Gumball’s voice actor, has deemed this episode as his favorite.^[3]
Running gag: Gumball and Darwin sprouting extremely long smiles after applying the Koologne.

This episode is similar to the season 1 episode, "The Party."

Cultural references

In Tobias' trailer for his Tropi-gal party where he sits on the hood of a sports car while wearing sunglasses could be a reference to the controversial alpha male influencer Andrew Tate.
The "20 minutes later" time cards are a reference to the recurring time cards that appear in SpongeBob SquarePants, often as a joke, to indicate a time skip.
Gumball and Darwin running towards the taxi is similar to Sonic's run from the video game franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog.
The outfits Gumball and Darwin wear in the bathroom sequence are based on ones various celebrities have worn at the Met Gala. Specifically outfits worn by Lil Nas X, Jared Leto, Bad Bunny, Barry Keoghan, Rihanna, Cardi B, Gabrielle Union, Kim Kardashian, and Donald Trump.
While tripping out, Gumball and Darwin pose in the bathtub referencing the fusion dance from Dragon Ball Z.

Tobias’ My Tropi-Gal Mansion Party

[It starts showing the outside of Elmore Junior high, before going inside where Tobias has some flyers he is passing out.]

Tobias: Come to my party.

[Tobias hands a flyer to Teri]

Tobias: Come to my party.

[Tobias hands a flyer to 8-bit Dog]

Tobias: Come to my party. Com-

[Miss. Simian growls as Tobias avoided her.]

Tobias: Oh. Ooh.

[Tobias gives Molly a flyer.]

Tobias: Come to my party. [chuckles]

[Gumball and Darwin are watching what Gumball has on his phone.]

Gumball: Dude, check this out.

[Gumball and Darwin laughs as Tobias quickly goes up to them and gives them a flyer.]

Tobias: Come to my party!

Darwin: What’s this? [Picks up the flyer.]

Tobias: Oh! They’re just invites to Tobias’ My Tropi-Gal mansion party.

[Camera pans over the flyer.]

Tobias: Yeah. I just dropped a trailer for it, too.

[Tobias show Gumball and Darwin a trailer for his new party on his phone.]

Tobias: [In trailer] Come tonight at the Wilson Grand Estate, where the gold glistens and the luxury awaits.

[Gumball and Darwin looks at each other, weirded out from it.]

Tobias: And don’t forget to bring your girlfriends. [Walks away.]

Darwin: Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, we never get invited anywhere. But on the other hand, this makes me wanna wash my eyes with fire.

Gumball: Huh. I don’t know. Let’s ask the girls. [Yells] Hey, girls.

Penny: Yes?

Gumball: Wanna go to Tobias’ Tropi-Gal creep fest tonight?

Penny: It sounds genuinely awful, and yet a thousand times better than what we have planned.

Alan: Hey, looking forward to seeing your audition for the Glee Club tonight.

[Gumball pops Alan with a pencil has he blows away.]

Alan: All right, no problem. Thank you!

Carrie: Hmm. I see an opening in our calendar. What should we bring?

Darwin: Hand sanitizer?

Gumball: Let’s not forget, bad decisions and bail money.

[The girls laughs at Gumball’s joke.]

Gumball: All right. See you tonight.

Penny: Get on the party bus, Carrie.

[Carrie rides on Penny as they both bounce away.]

Carrie: Oh yeah!

Darwin: Um… I don’t like this. It’s obvious that Tobias just wants to steal our girlfriends. He’s being creepy, and not your usual [Darwin’s face turns to a Creepy doll, neck cracking] haunted doll creepy. I mean, gross, slimy, pencil-thin mustache creepy. Why are you even thinking of going?

Gumball: Because nothing fun ever happens without risk and because I trust in our girlfriends’ excellent taste in men and their athletic ability to shot put Tobias out of a window if he misbehaves. And because I have a vision.

[It shows Gumball vision at Tobias’ party and Gumball describes the events in his vision.]

Gumball: We turn out fashionably late and looking good. The Party’s pumping. Everybody turns to us and goes…

Everyone: Oh!

Gumball and Darwin: Oh!

[Gumball and Darwin goes to their respective girlfriends and party with them. It cuts back to Gumball floating in the air, acting as if he is getting thrown up and down.]

Darwin: You just made a very convincing argument. I, too, want to be Oh-ed.

[Darwin starts doing the same actions like Gumball.]

Gumball and Darwin: Oh!

[They both floated away as it cuts to their house. It shows Gumball looking at his phone serious, while Darwin is looking through is bag.]

Getting Ready For The Party

Darwin: Okay. Party outfit. Uh…

[Darwin holds up a fedora.]

Darwin: What do you think?

[Darwin puts on his fedora.]

Darwin: Tiny fedora,

[Darwin takes off his fedora.]

Darwin: or no tiny fedora?

[Darwin puts on his fedora.]

Darwin: Tiny fedora,

[Darwin takes off his fedora.]

Darwin: or no tiny fedora?

[Gumball did a bad Oh.]

Gumball: Oh…

Darwin: Wait. That was a bad “Oh.”

Gumball: Dude, it looks like no one’s accepted their invites. Turns out Tobias has less friends online than he does in real life.

[Gumball shows Darwin Tobias’ Elmore Plus account on his phone.]

Gumball: I think he might be the first unfluencer.

[Darwin tries to wipe to mold away, but it does not come off.]

Darwin: Oh… The mold is on the inside.

Gumball: We need to get people to this party or else we don’t get out “Oh!”

Darwin: How about we send gift boxes to all the kids to lure them to Tobias Mansion?

Gumball: That’s a great idea… huh?

[Darwin has a serious expression, then Gumball does too. They both panic, but then took off their mustaches.]

Gumball: …in a non-creepy pencil-thin mustache way. Let’s find some gifts.

[Gumball and Darwin is at the attic, as Darwin open the door to the attic, all of the Moses fell on them.]

Gumball: Okay! What do we got? What do we got? We got glow sticks, uh, party sunglasses.

Darwin: Where does all this stuff come from?

Gumball: It’s from Grandpa Frankie’s time.

Darwin: Oh? Like the ‘60s?

Gumball: No, when he did time for importing unregulated goods from his contacts in, like, Bootlegisberg of whatever. Remember the flying lawnmowers…

[It shows flying lawn mowers attacking people in Elmore.]

Gumball: …the masks that gave the flu?

[It shows people wearing masks, and they look sick.]

Gumball: And let’s not forget the air bag scandal that spanned across three states.

[Karen stops the car as she gets flung back while other people did the same far away.]

Darwin: Oh, yeah. Ooh!

[Darwin picks up a grenade shape item. It is titled Koologne.]

Darwin: What about this?

Gumball: Coal-og-nea?

Darwin: Everyone likes a little perfume for a party.

Gumball: It’s perfect! But let’s try it before we ship it, just in case it melts flesh upon contact or something.

Unexpected Happiness

[Darwin presses on the Cologne and black perfume takes over the screen. They both suddenly smile really big.]

Darwin: Seems fine to me.

Gumball: Everyone’s gonna love it!

[They both off and pack the cologne into the boxes]

Gumball and Darwin: Oh!

[Larry has his truck filled with the boxes.]

Darwin: Send one to every kid in Elmore.

[Darwin tosses the box to Larry, but Larry drops it and release the cologne on him, which gave him a big smile. Larry grabs a dog and dances with it, next grabbed a bird and blow into the beak to play a flute, lastly he drove off to deliver their packages. It now cuts to Gumball and Darwin in the bathroom.]

Gumball and Darwin: Let’s get ready to party!

[They both first shower in bath bombs, while saying. Then, Gumball and Darwin try different hair styles to the party. Darwin waxes his legs, Gumball brush his back then he brush teeth. Lastly, Gumball and Darwin try multiple outfits. While preparing they both scream out, “Oh!” Then they go back to normal.]

Gumball and Darwin: Oh!

Gumball: What just happened?

[It showed the aftermath on what happened in the bathroom, it looks a mess.]

Darwin: Oh no! Dude! We’re late. The party started hours ago.

Gumball: Come on! Let’s go!

[They both start running around and screaming. Then they both bumped into each other.]

Gumball: Wait.

[Gumball lifts Darwin’s arm up and sniffs it.]

Gumball: I think we need more of that Coal-og-nea to cover the Bologna smell.

[Gumball sprays it onto himself, which covered the room the with cologne. Afterwards, they both start to smile really big again. Gumball and Darwin are walking to the party, but with a funky tone.]

Going To The Party

Gumball: [Deep voice] Hey dude, did you know that I could make my tongue look like a taco?

[They both stopped.]

Darwin: Oh? No way!

Gumball: Yes. Look!

[Gumball roll his tongue out, Darwin then bites Gumball's tongue.]

Gumball: What the? Why?

Darwin: Because this is [High pitch] all your fault! [His voice changed] And also because it looked inexplicably delicious.

Gumball: [High pitch] Ah, you’re right! [His voice changed] Our girlfriends are there all by themselves with [High pitch] Tobias.

Darwin: I warned [High pitch] you about this ten thousand times!

Gumball: But you know I’m a fool. Should’ve bit me earlier.

Darwin: Oh! You’re right. This is my bad.

Gumball: No! It is my fault.

Darwin: No! It is my fault.

[Darwin tries to smack Gumball.]

Gumball: No! It’s mine.

[Gumball tries to smack Darwin.]

Darwin: No! It is my fault.

[Darwin tries to smack Gumball.]

Gumball: No! It is my fault.

[Gumball tries to smack Darwin.]

Construction men: Hey! Break it up!

[Gumball and Darwin accidentally beat up the construction men.]

Gumball: Everything’s going very weird. Is your hair salivating, too? All right! I’m ordering a ride.

Darwin: But we have no money.

Gumball: It’s okay, I have a plan. But we’re gonna have to be— [Suddenly yelling] CHIIIIIIIIIILLLL—!!! [Coughs] Sorry. We’re gonna have to be chill.

[A title card with Gumball and Darwin’s face in the background, the text states “20 minutes later.”]

Narrator: 20 minutes later.

[Gumball and Darwin appears in front of Tobias’ mansion. The taxi is crashed into a pillar and is on fire.]

Gumball: Okay. So the plan was we order the car where we are, we sneak onboard Shinobi styles and cancel the ride. But we order again from Tobias’ address. The guy takes us there. We ninja our way out. We cancel the ride again! Bam! But like I said, “We have to be chill.”

[A title card with Koologne in the background and text stating, “20 minutes earlier.”]

Narrator: 20 minutes earlier.

[Tony is driving his taxi car.]

Tony: Hmm? Huh?

[Gumball and Darwin shows to be in the mirror, but once Tony turned around, they weren’t there.]

Tony: Huh? What the… Huh?

[When Tony looks at his mirror again, Gumball and Darwin appears in the passenger seat. Tony freaked out and accidentally drives off the road, but when he comes back on screen, Gumball and Darwin vanishes again. Tony freaks out and looks around his car. Tony looks at his rear mirror and he sees Gumball and Darwin chasing after him. Darwin then gets out of the motor and pops the hood of the car.]

Darwin: I fell bad. We’re freeloading off this guy.

[Tony drives off the road and crashes into the pillar of Tobias’ mansion. Then the flashback ends.]

Gumball: Actually, it would have been better if he had been chill.

[Gumball pulls out his phone.]

Gumball: One star.

[Gumball clicks one star as Tony gets out of the car, exhausted. Then Tobias starts screaming, running out of his house.]

Darwin: [Gasp] Oh, dude! Tobias is coming. What do we do?

[Gumball then imagines him grabbing Tobias, ripping him something out of him, biting it, and then munching it.]

Darwin: Wait. What if he hasn’t done anything wrong yet?

[Gumball then reverse and instead he strokes Tobias, then hugs.]

Darwin: Yes. Positive reinforcement for good behavior.

Gumball: Mmm-hmmm.

Darwin: Okay. Well, let’s just see the vibe when he arrives. You never know. We might still get an…

Gumball and Darwin: Oh!

The Boy’s Arrest

[Suddenly, a police car arrives next to them.]

Donut Cop: You’re under arrest!

[They both “Oh!,” before starts screaming and then stops.]

Gumball: Wait. Why?

Donut Cop: For being a public nuisance and for making a nuisance out of the public.

[The burger cop shows Gumball and Darwin all the kids in the resident going crazy.]

Donut Cop: The scent of the scent you’ve sent everyone sent them all… not sensible.

Gumball and Darwin: Oh… What have we done?

[The burger cop put them into the police car.]

Gumball: I guess that also explains why my teeth are so itchy. But officer, where are our girlfriends? Are they at the party?

Donut Cop: Uh… no one’s in that house. You completely ruined that poor billionaire boy’s party. He’s the one who reported you.

Gumball: Well, are you taking us home then?

[Tobias suddenly appears with a flashlight.]

Tobias: He’s taking you to jail!

[In slow-mo, The Donut Cop drops the Koologne on the ground. The black perfume takes over the air as the animation transfers. Gumball and Darwin turns into creatures. A green gas came out of Donut Cop’s walkie talkie and takes over the two cops. The Donut Cop rips half of himself and then a green creature eats his half then drives the car with Demonic Gumball and Darwin inside. A skater spray paints the skatepark before getting hit by the police car, laughing. Then a yellow dragon picks them up and flies. Then they put them down and use the car as a skateboard. The yellow dragon then trips and dies while a gray creature is underneath them and sabotages the tires. They then crashes into the police station and green goo covers the screen, transforming back to the normal animation style. Gumball and Darwin gets up and sees all of their classmates upset.]

Everyone: Oh!

[They then had a dance party inside the jail cell. It cuts back to Tobias’ mansion, and Tobias is alone.]

Tobias’ Aftermath

Tobias Oh… Oh! What is happening to me?

[Tobias takes off his mustache.]

Tobias: Why does no one like me? Could it be that my affluent upbringing led me to believe that people could be bought? Or is it more like Daddy says, “And everyone’s just jealous”?

[The doorbell rings and once Tobias opens the door he sees a anime girl.]

Tobias: Whoa!

Anime girl: Oh, hi. Is this the millionaire boy’s party?

Tobias: Hmm. Uh, please. Luxury awaits.

[Tobias walks in his mansion. It cuts outside of the door, where a bunch of felons are outside of the door. The anime girl takes her mask off reveals to be a criminal.]

Criminal: All right guys, let’s party.

[All of their criminals goes inside of the house and parties in their. They all trash the house, while Tobias is screaming.]

Tobias: Wait no! Don’t touch that! My mom and dad is gonna kill me!

[Cuts to black.]
