The Amazing World of Gumball: The DVD is a DVD release of The Amazing World of Gumball. Being the first official release of the series on home video, the DVD includes twelve episodes from season 1, as well as a special feature. It was released on August 28^th, 2012.

On October 7^th, 2014, The DVD was released for a second time as The Amazing World of Gumball and Friends, as part of the Warner Bros. "...and Friends" DVD collection.

The overall theme of The DVD such as the disc, the main menu, and the commercial Larry plays in the trailer is derived from Gumball and Darwin's rough recreation of "Alligators on a Train," shown in its namesake episode.
On the cover of the "Gumball and Friends" reissue, Gumball is missing his whiskers.
According to a news article released in May 2012, this DVD was slated to have behind-the-scenes material, animatics, and episode commentary much like the Adventure Time and Regular Show DVDs released at the time. Unfortunately, the final release contained none of these extras. ^[1]
