The sphere citizens are minor characters in The Amazing World of Gumball. They are used as background filler characters for large crowds of people, therefore having no significant roles. They first appear in "The Shell."

Appearance

They come in a myriad array of colors and shapes, but most of them are simply spheres with eyes and limbs, hence their name. They tend to have either have very little facial features or none at all. A handful of them resemble established characters like Pantsbully, Karen, Tony, and Billy, but most of the others look like entirely different entities.

Season 3

• "The Shell": They are part of the audience watching the play at Elmore Junior High.
• "The Butterfly": A couple of them can be seen driving cars on the road during Mr. Robinson's pranking session.
• "The Spoiler": They are at the Elmore Cinema watching The Screamening.
• "The Countdown": They are part of the crowd worshipping Gumball and Darwin.

Season 4

• "The Return": They are at the cinema.
• "The Others": They are part of the crowd on the highway.
• "The Parking": They are at the cinema.
• "The Romantic": A couple of them are part of the flash mob at the mall.
• "The Traitor": They can be seen in the cinema once again.
• "The Blame": They attend the PTA meeting at Elmore Junior High.
• "The Scam": Some of them can be seen cheering for Gumball, Darwin, and Carrie.

Season 5

• "The Choices": They appear in several scenes such as the crowd of hippies, the audience at the tournament and in the crowd cheering for Nicole.
• "The Catfish": They are seen in the mall.
• "The Menu": They are in the crowd that cheers when Gumball and Darwin get promoted at Joyful Burger.
• "The List": They are seen in the audience watching Gumball's "solo."

Season 6

• "The Lady": They are seen at a football stadium.
• "The Cringe": They attend Gumball and Penny's wedding in the future.
• "The Cage": They are seen in the crowd cheering for Mr. Corneille.
• "The Anybody": They are in the audience watching Stellar Odyssey at the cinema.
• "The Shippening": They are seen driving cars when the Van Shopkeeper evades the police.
• "The Parents": They are in the courtroom.
• "The Ad": They are seen in the Elmore Stadium during "I Still Look Forward To."
• "The Revolt": A few appear in Darwin's imagination.
• "The Decisions": They are among the people fighting each other at the Elmore Mall.
