The Rainbow Factory is a minor location in The Amazing World of Gumball that is owned by Mr. Yoshida. Nicole Watterson works as a saleswoman there. She always wears a rainbow button on her uniform shirt, which symbolizes the factory. The factory manufactures rainbows out of gasoline, arsenic, latex, lead, and rust, as revealed in "The Factory." It was blown up for an unknown reason in "The Fan," but it was rebuilt before "The Return."
Appearance
The factory consists of office space used for public relations, customer service, and administration (which Nicole works in), and the manufacturing plant, where the factory produces its rainbows. The offices consist of an assortment of cubicles which are suspiciously often found vacant and unstaffed. Near the presumed entrance to the cubicle farm is the employee of the month wall. A conference room with a glass wall can also be seen. The main industrial area of the factory is situated in a large building with white concrete brick walls. Imprinted on a wall looking over the factory are the words "Elmore Rainbows" in tall, black lettering. Bellow, a small sign with the distinctive trefoil radiation symbol can be seen. In the manufacturing process, after each colour is separately brewed in a multitude of pipes, they are squeezed out into tubes, cut, and packaged. The assembly line on which this process takes place is staffed mainly by the construction men who are closely monitored under the watchful eye of an array of security cameras, six of which can be seen in a small section of wall in "The Factory."
