Mushroom is a minor character in The Amazing World of Gumball. Like the Hot Dog Guy, he usually appears in the background of the school cafeteria, usually sitting around other background characters. His first appearance was in "The Third." He also appeared in "The Flower" behind Gumball before Carrie takes him to her house. He also appeared in "The Name" in the cafeteria once again. Then, he appears in "The Extras," which is his first speaking role in the show. He's seen singing angrily along with the other background characters towards Gumball and Darwin.

Appearance

Mushroom has a tan cap with white spots, and a purple colored stem in Seasons 1 and 2. In Season 3, he has a pink cap with white spots, and a tan stem, with pink hands and legs.

• "The Ape": He is seen at the cafeteria.
• "The Fight": He is in the background in the cafeteria.

• "The Flower": He appears in the background in the cafeteria.
• "The Banana": He appears in the cafeteria.

Season 3

• "The Name": He appears in Gumball's subconscious.
• "The Extras": His first major role and speaking role. He sings "Just Notice Us" with the other background characters.
• "The Move": He is seen in the background in the cafeteria.
• "The Mirror": He appears in the background in the cafeteria again.
• "The Butterfly": He is knocked over in a line during a domino effect.
• "The Oracle": He runs over Gumball, Darwin and Anais along with the other people. He is also one of the many people who want to be the 1,000,000th customer.
• "The Safety": He appears in one of Darwin's videos.

Season 4

• "The Romantic": He is one of the patrons at the mall.
• "The Wicked": He runs away from Margaret in the mall.
• "The Disaster": He is seen in the mall.

Season 5

• "The Line": He is one of the people running to the first showing of Stellar Odyssey.

• His appearance could be slightly based off of Super Mushrooms from the Mario series, except that he is pink while Super Mushrooms are red, and he also has a mouth, unlike Super Mushrooms.
• The out-of-show [[1]] for Elmore High reveals that his name is actually Mushroom.
