The librarian is a minor character in The Amazing World of Gumball. She first appeared in "The End." She worked in the library at Elmore Junior High but was replaced by the tree librarian, and it is unknown whether or not the librarian continues to work at Elmore Junior High.
Appearance
She is a tree with yellow bark (skin), and turquoise leaves (hair). She also wears a turquoise dress, and a very large pair of red rounded spectacles. As an elderly character, she has wrinkles along her face. In season 2 onwards, her leaves are darker and she wears a blue dress.
Episode appearances
Season 1
- "The End": She walks by the school bus before it drives off. Later, she is walking outside Food 'n' Stuff, and is also seen for a split second standing in line at Food 'n' Stuff.
- "The Laziest": She is seen standing in line at the supermarket again. This time, Larry accidentally yells at her, resulting in her leaves falling off.
- "The Mystery": She has a very small cameo in this episode. She shushes Tina after she says "ouch" when the bookcases fall down on her.
- "The Gi": She is seen looking at Richard in a flashback as the Cottontail Cavalier.
- "The Genius": She checks out a book on botany for Leslie.
- "The Curse": She is seen inside an airplane.
- "The Helmet": She is one of the people giving Nicole a job interview.
Season 2
- "The Flakers": She is in the library.
- "The Virus": She walks in the library.
- "The Castle": She is one of the guests at the Wattersons' house, and has her first actual speaking role.
- "The Plan": She is seen at Elmore Park.
Season 3
- "The Name": She is in the shopping line, and Zach jumps on her head.
- "The Extras": Her first major role. She sings "Just Notice Us."
- "The Gripes": She helps Gumball and Darwin raise money.
- "The Move" She is in the library and gets blown away by Clayton screaming, and later shushes him, Gumball, and Darwin.
- "The Law": She appears waiting for ice cream, she later appears driving her car during the Donut Cop's driving rampage.
- "The Mothers": She is seen on the escalator when Nicole jumps on her head. Later, she is in her car when Nicole tries to save Gumball and Darwin.
- "The Password": She is driving her car on Elmore Expressway, barely dodging the Wattersons' cars.
- "The Butterfly": She appears in an airplane, and then later outside the mall, getting knocked over.
- "The Saint": She gets mad at Alan for being noisy, and destroying a computer in the library (although he was just taking the blame for Gumball).
- "The Oracle": She is one of the many people who want to be the 1,000,000th customer.
- "The Safety": She appears in the library on a monitor.
- "The Society": Gumball accidentally makes the bookcase fall on her. Later, she is a part of the secret society.
- "The Spoiler": She is in the cinema.
- "The Countdown": She appears in the bus that Gumball and Darwin take.
Season 4
- "The Parking": She is in the cinema.
- "The Wicked": She is in the mall running from Mrs. Robinson driving the Wattersons' car.
- "The Traitor": She is in the cinema.
- "The Girlfriend": She is part of Jamie's apology note. This is her last appearance at Elmore Junior High.
- "The Disaster": She is seen at the mall.
Season 5
- "The Rerun": She is in the mall again.
- "The Choices": She is a referee at the tournament.
- "The Catfish": She is at the mall.
- "The Stars": She is in the cinema. Later, when the website is deleted, she is at the mall.
- "The Heist": She is seen in her car.
- "The Line": She is with the crowd running to a cinema.
- "The News": She is walking when Kip is trying to waste time.
Season 6
- "The One": She walks in the mall.
- "The Father": She drives her car.
- "The Decisions": She is at the mall.

Trivia
- She is seen working as a librarian and speaks of this job in "The Castle," but in "The Helmet," she is shown interviewing Nicole for a promotion at the Rainbow Factory.
- A different tree character is the librarian in "The Blame" onwards. It is currently unknown why it is no longer the same character as before.
