"Here to Stay" is a song composed and sung by American singer-songwriter Amanda Fama, released in an album of the same name on September 12th, 2013. A non-studio performance of the song was released beforehand on YouTube on July 13th, 2012.
In "The Stars," it plays at the end of Larry's film, From the Moment our Eyes Met. The beginning instrumental also plays in "The Uncle" during an imagined sequence involving Ocho hunting down and kissing Tobias.
Lyrics
I remember last year I wanted to see your face
Then the summer came and took me to a brand new place
Yeah, we went walking, then we started talking
God, I get so nervous when you take my hand like
Oh, oh, oh, oh
We were in your bedroom laying on your floor that night
The air was kind of smoky lit up by an orange light
Yeah, we were laughin', I hate to see you packin'
I got all the memories sitting under my sleeve
Oh, oh, oh, oh
But all I gotta do
Is look up at the moon
And know you're looking too
I can feel it when I think of you
And all I really know
Is that I won't let go
Of all those summer days
That I wish were always here to stay
You got me where you want me, I don't want to leave at night
'Cause when I drive away, it's hard to get you off my mind
'Cause we were driving, turning up the music
You kiss me on the cheek, and I can get used to this
Oh, oh, oh, oh
But all I gotta do
Is look up at the moon
And know you're looking too
I can feel it when I think of you
And all I really know
Is that I won't let go
Of all those summer days
That I wish were always here to stay
La, da, da da, da, da
The leaves are falling
It's getting kind of cold out
I'm looking up
I've got so much to think about
I can't forget the summers whether
Or all these times of laying together
Again and again
But all I gotta do (I gotta do)
Is look up at the moon (at the moon)
And know you're looking too
I can feel it when I think of you
And all I really know
Is that I won't let go
Of all those summer days
That I wish were always here to stay
