HBO Max (formerly known as Max) is an American subscription video on-demand streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery Direct, a division of Warner Bros. Discovery. The service launched as HBO Max on May 27th, 2020. It was rebranded to Max on May 23rd, 2023. On July 9th, 2025, it was reverted back to HBO Max.
With Turner Broadcasting System being a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery, HBO Max, based on Warner Bros. Discovery-owned HBO's premium TV service, serves all of its original programming along with Cartoon Network originals.
