Elmore is a fictional town in The Amazing World of Gumball, located in the U.S. state of California with an estimated "weird" population of 20,000. It is the setting for most of the episodes. Though it generally functions like a normal city, Elmore is unique in that everything in the city has the potential to come to life.
Elmore, like other minor metropolitans, has its own financial district, park districts, residential districts, and an interstate highway running through it. Strangely, Elmore operates in a fashion to what one would expect from an autonomous nation. The small city has its own currency, the Elmore dollar, its own airline, various large attractions and amenities which would be expected from a larger city, and an exceedingly large and glamorous bank bearing the town's name.
Elmore's geography reflects the real-life city of Vallejo, California. According to the Joyful Burger Map shown in "The Menu," Elmore borders a large river to the south named the Yolo River (referencing the real life Napa River). Two other rivers border the city. To the north is the Lol River and in the east is the East Otter River. Around the same area are numerous parks, including Mad Squirrels Park. To the southwest of the city is a large unnamed island where Interstate 750 and Interstate 80 meet into an intersection that leads out of town. Elmore is known to neighbor at least two towns: Big Bun City and Panays Town.
Not to mention that some of the online services available in the town, Elmore Plus and Elmore Stream-It, once again suspiciously seem to be influenced by the name "Elmore." Limited ties to their would-be governing bodies of California and the United States can be seen.

Trivia[]
- Despite Elmore Junior High supposedly being the local school, the Wattersons have to drive through a busy expressway to get there, as shown in "The Bumpkin."
- Tobias and Rachel are so far the only characters, along with their family, known to live on the outskirts of Elmore, as shown in "The Third" and "The Party." Though this may have been contradicted in "Christmas," as the Wilsons are shown to be living on the same street as the Wattersons.
- As seen in "The Bumpkin," Idaho's family appears to live on the outskirts, in a large barren field that Richard had to access via traveling the ocean.
- The population of Elmore is a modest 20,000, suggesting that it is a somewhat large town or small city in the USA. This is odd given the presence of high-rise office towers in Elmore, which are usually only in major cities.
- The town of Elmore is mainly based off of Vallejo, California, with the geography being identical, while the school and certain buildings are based on San Francisco.
- Despite supposedly being in California, the border of Canada is not too far from the local mall as shown in "The Shippening".
- Elmore's region is surrounded by huge bodies of water, which requires a very large bridge to cross.
- Win or Don't Win is the most popular show in Elmore.
- There are numerous towns, cities, and counties in the United States called "Elmore."
- Elmore has a second dimension known as the Void. This is where all of Elmore's mistakes end up.
- In "The Origins," it is shown that a massive desert surrounds Elmore.
- In "The Inquisition," the Void begins to destroy Elmore at the very end of the episode.
