Donald MacArthur is a minor character in The Amazing World of Gumball. He made his first appearance in "The Debt" at the Elmore senior talent show. "The Catfish" reveals that he is married to Betty.

Appearance

Donald has red, and greyish-brown stripes streaking across his green square body. He also wears plaid pants. The colors on his limbs differ from the colors of his body. He has a remarkable white mustache, and uses a cane like Marvin. He also wears a striped hat, and a black belt. He has a Scottish accent.

Episode appearances

Season 1

• "The Debt": He appears at the senior talent show performing with Marvin, Louie, and the yellow old man.
• "The End": He is in the long line of shoppers.
• "The Laziest": His first speaking role. He is with the rest of the senior citizens talking to Gumball and Darwin about Lazy Larry.
• "The Kiss": He is with the rest of the senior citizens in Darwin's happy place, and then in Gumball's happy place.
• "The Poltergeist": He can be seen in the cinema in Mr. Robinson's flashback.

Season 2

• "The Colossus": He is blown away by Hector along with the rest of the senior citizens (except Louie).
• "The Job": He is seen on a news report watching Marvin float in the air along with Louie and Betty.
• "The Watch": Darwin asks him if he can borrow his scooter, which he allows after he fails to get up from his chair to fight them.
• "The Tag": He drives his car.
• "The Boombox": He can be seen on Win or Don't Win winning a car.
• "The Finale": He demands that the Wattersons give back his scooter.

Season 3

• "The Extras": His first major role. He is first seen singing with the minor characters. Later, he is seen dancing with the senior citizens.
• "The Lie": He is seen caroling about Sluzzle Tag along with Marvin, Betty, Felicity, Jackie, and Harold.
• "The Butterfly": He gets knocked over by Betty and then knocks over Marvin. He later appears on the escalator.

Season 4

• "The Crew": His second major role, he helps Marvin stop Gumball and Darwin from escaping.
• "The Nest": He is one of the Evil Turtle's victims.
• "The Fury": He is stuck in traffic.

Season 5

• "The Catfish": He is in Louie's flashback.
• "The Nuisance": He appears in a picture in Marvin's house.

Season 6

• "The Anybody": Clayton turns into him to get a movie ticket and later turns into him to help Gumball.
• "The Faith": He is in his car during the traffic jam.
• "The Founder": He drives his car.
• "The Intelligence": He is in the library.

• Donald speaks with a Scottish accent. This is a reference to the Scottish origins of plaid.
