Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network (often abbreviated as CN) is an American cable and satellite television channel which currently broadcasts The Amazing World of Gumball, along with many other shows. It was launched on October 1^st, 1992.

The main broadcasting headquarters is located in Atlanta, Georgia on the Turner Techwood Campus and Williams Street. Cartoon Network Studios and the West Coast headquarters are located in Burbank, California in the Warner Bros. Discovery Second Century Towers, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, and the European headquarters are located in London, United Kingdom, as a division of Turner Broadcasting System, in turn a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery that also own the channels HBO, Warner Bros, and the Max streaming service just to name a few.

Adult Swim

Cartoon Network also has an adult-oriented programming block called Adult Swim (stylized as [adult swim] or [as]), which debuted on September 2^nd, 2001. This channel block is not recommended for children under fourteen or seventeen. It airs daily from 5:00pm to 6:00am.

Adult Swim signs in every night at 5:00pm with a viewer warning.

Toonami

Launched on March 17^th, 1997, Toonami airs action cartoons and Japanese anime hosted by TOM and SARA. Moltar, from Space Ghost Coast to Coast, was the former host of the block since its launch. The block on Cartoon Network ended on September 20^th, 2008. The block then appeared on Adult Swim on April Fool's Day 2012 as a prank, in place of Tommy Wiseau's film The Room, having aired it the past three years. By popular demand, the block returned and moved to Adult Swim, replacing the former ACTN block, on May 26^th, 2012. It airs every Saturday night from 11:00pm to 4:30am. A newer block, named Toonami Rewind, airs Friday nights from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

Boomerang is a TV channel operated by Cartoon Network that airs former Cartoon Network programming. It started as a programming block on Cartoon Network on December 8^th, 1992, and debuted as a separate channel on April 1^st, 2000.

Logos

There are several logos contributed to Cartoon Network.

The first CN logo, used during its prelaunch until being phased out for the checkerboard logo. Was used from 1991 to 1992.

The second logo used from the 1992-2004 era, introducing the classic checkerboard design.

The third logo used from the 2004-2010 era, being the first time "Cartoon Network" was shortened to "CN".

The fourth logo that is being used from 2010-present
