Plot
The game starts with a recap of the previous games ending, with Tobias challenging Gumball to a battle and saying "Gumball! You don't have the power to stop me!" and Gumball replies with "Tobias! You will be defeated!".
Before Gumball and Tobias can initiate the battle, Richard interrupts saying "Wait, son! I have to show you how to fight first. Follow me!" this initiates a tutorial battle.
Richard begins to give the player a small tutorial "Select to perform an attack. Some moves consume power!". The player must then attack Tobias using a power attack. Tobias then has his turn. "Select to perform a defence move and recover some power!" Richard says, and then the player must then defend using regular defence. Tobias then has another turn. "Alright! Now you know all you need to be a true hero!" Richard finishes. The player may then use any action to complete the battle.
After a battle results screen, Tobias says "This is not over" and transforms into Mecha-Tobias. "You can't defeat my new form! Hahahah!" he says, and the player is sent to the world map. The player must then engage in battle with Tobias in order to progress.
Once defeated Tobias runs away, daring the Squad to fight him at the end of the road "if they dare.". In order to do so they must fight through many enemies blocking the way. After defeating the two Construction Men and Anton, Ocho appears in a giant form. Once defeated he can either be recruited to the Squad or finished off. Soon after Alan appears and can similarly be recruited or defeated.
Finally, after beating Masami and her Anton minions, the Squad reaches Tobias in his giant mecha form and the final showdown commences. Finally, once he is struck down once and for all, Gumball celebrates the Squad's victory and expresses relief at the town now being safe, as Tobias wallows in his defeat.
Gameplay

New to this game, however, is Bro Squad Mecha battles. Upon defeating a group of enemies one of them will have a chance to transform and grow in size, and thus Gumball, Darwin and Anais are forced to form the Mecha to fight them. Trivia
- Like its predecessor, this game is based on a scene from "The Guy," where Gumball and Darwin form the "Bro-Squad" to help Anais.
- Throughout his boss fight, Alan has his dictator face from "The Vision," and occasionally makes his noble and screaming faces from "The Saint."
- If the player has already played Bro Squad 1. all three character's levels will carry over into the second game.
Cultural references
- The entire game is a direct parody of the Super Sentai/Power Rangers series.
- Gumball, Darwin and Anais' costumes themselves are a mash-up of the helmets from Choudenshi Bioman and the suits from Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan.
- The Bro-Squad Mecha is a parody of the series' Megazord.
- The Mecha's sword and the way it summons it is a reference to the Power Sword commonly summoned and used in battle by the Megazord.
- The design is likely based on the Dino Megazord from the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series
- The game includes Red, Yellow, and Pink "rangers", three of the main colors most Power Rangers teams follow in their respective series. Green and Blue Rangers also appeared in the first game as alternate variants of Anais and Darwin, but did not return in the sequel. One of the most common ranger colors, Black, never appears in either game.
- Gumball, the leader of the squad, is the Red Ranger. This is a tradition seen throughout every Power Rangers series.
- The enemies transformations into giant versions of themselves is a parody of one of the Power Rangers series' staples. Usually, after an enemy is defeated or close to being defeated they will transform and grow significantly in size, requiring a Megazord to be fought, exactly as shown in the game.
