Alligators On a Train

The title card. Literally.

Alligators on a Train appeared in the first season.

Alligators on a Train is a movie in The Amazing World of Gumball that appeared in "The DVD." Nicole rented the movie from Laser Video for Gumball to watch at home. In "The DVD," Gumball unintentionally uses the wrong side of a scrubby sponge to clean the 'Alligators on a Train' disc and scratches it because Darwin thought it was the pizza-cutter and got it messy. Gumball then panicks and tosses it into the air. The disc falls into the sink's waste disposal and gets shredded to pieces. With the DVD destroyed, Gumball and Darwin decided to to make a fake video of Alligators on a Train in order to save their butts, which ran for a surpisingly short time, and even more suspiciously, every name in the credits is one of them.

Trivia

  • Apparently, Gumball has watched Alligators on a Train 72 times before 'The DVD'.
  • Alligators on a Train is an obvious parody of Snakes on a Plane.
  • Larry exaggerates (for effect) by saying that the fake copy is five seconds long. Technically, the video goes for 17 seconds, as well as credits.
  • Alligators on a Train is a very obvious parody of Snakes on a Train since Snakes on a Train went into the theaters at the same time when Snakes on a Plane went into theaters ( See Wikipedia: Snakes on a Train ) .

Transcript of parody

  • [Darwin holds up a piece of cardboard with "Alligators on a Train" written on it; made-up music played in the background]
Gumball: Doot Doot Doot! (fake theme music) Alligators on a Train!
  • (Scene changes to Darwin wearing a fake mustache)
Darwin: Oh no! There's alligators on this train! [Darwin beats up the cardboard alligator] Thank goodness, we got all the alligators off this train!
  • Gumball: [using a slightly high-pitched voice] Thank you so much for saving us from all the alligators on this train.
[Gumball and Darwin initiates a fake make-out scene]
