I feel like the last gusse is pretty like real and would make sense because. The shady guy gave him the fish maybe his parents were getting adopted at the pet store and they could afford Darwin like you said and maybe the shady guy in the van could of came in and stole /brought Darwin and put him in his van so Richard could get him and bring him to gumbal but hey that’s just a theory.
