I know it's presented as a joke, but the things that happened to the boys all seemed to be intentional. The asteroids and the virus invading Elmore, the ghost with the cursed teddy bear, the couch glitching out of reality, the house somehow ending up in the void, the Watterson's somehow ending up in a life or death situation. All of these events happening the same day the boys decide to veg? There's no way it's a coincidence. Something, or someone didn't want the brothers to veg out, and their are a few culprits that I suspect.
The first likely suspect is obviously Rob, since he is always trying to find a way to make Gumball's life a nightmare. And with tools like the universal remote (if he can find a way to fix it.) He'd definitely have the tools to do it. But let's say you're tired of Rob being the villain behind everything, what other culprits are there?
Another culprit is William. He has caused trouble for the Watterson kids before, maybe he was just feeling needy and wanted attention from the kids but they wouldn't pay attention to him. His telekinetic powers could explain all the supernatural activity in the episode. Speaking of supernatural activity.
Who's to say Carrie wasn't behind it? Maybe she just didn't want the kids to be lazy all day and find a way to get them active. The demon with the teddy bear could have been a friend she picked up from the underworld. It seems a little extreme to put their family in mortal danger in order to make them get up from their vegging but it's Carrie, Or if not Carrie.
Mrs. Jotunheim seems more likely. Maybe the day before the boys promised to hang out with her son but when they decided to veg instead she decided to make them move one way or another. Who do you think caused the events of the vegging?

Hey guys and girls! I have just come up with a new idea: Ranking characters' feature! Well, "top 5" literally shows us the "best" and "the worst" of all characters in TAWOG! And this is my first rank, so let's get started!
Firstly, I want to clarify that "powerful", specified in characters, means having abilities to easily beat, control, or outclass the others, not just about strength.
1 - Clayton
Yeah, he's a SHAPESHIFTER, which means he can morph into anything he wants, anything he likes with just a thought. As well as owning and using that "anything" abilities and superpowers. In "The Anybody", if Gumball and Darwin hadn't stopped him timely, he could have turn Elmore into a fantastically chaotically crazy town.
2 - Carrie
She's a ghost, not an entity, so as mostly, she can't be affected by any physical impact. Moreover, she's able to use many ghost superpowers, like telekinesis, teleportation, levitation, intangibility, possession... That's why ghosts are my nightmare.
3 - William
The third rank belongs to William. Have you watched "The Voice"? Then you will understand why. Similar to Carrie, this guy can levitate objects (telekinesis) and furthermore, create explosions. But without his superpowers, he's a useless ball.
4 - Bobert
A friendlier version of some robots in Terminator. Super-duper-duper intelligence, super durability, elasticity (his arms), laser eye... not to mention his modes like defense mode, combat mode... Luckily, he's a friendlier version of some robots in Terminator.
5 - Nicole
It's true that Black Dog Productions went too far in describing Nicole's ferocious power, but she really got a point: Nicole is nearly unstoppable. "The Limits" already shown us how strong Nicole is. She mastered martial arts, which means she can win any fight with almost anyone with her fighting skills, strength and speed. If anyone dares to "trigger" her rage, it will be"bye-bye".
That's the end. Be noticed that, this post is just my personal opinion overall.

Part 2 is about... uh... The thing is: I don't want to type much about these theories, and I don't have much to explain about them, so yeah, just get head into all. Don't worry, I'm not supporting any of these ships, just sayin':
Bobert X Tina: I don't know why but... I think so.
Tobias X Masami: Tobias tried to flirt Masami in The Tape and The Test (which he then dated many girls).
William X Teri: Teri helped him flip his test paper (though he had already flipped). They also join the swim club, though both are not suited for it.
Hector X Sarah: It would be ironic since Sarah prefer Gumball and Darwin, but... in The Night, Hector kissed Sarah, and then she blushed.
And the weirdest one, the one that I'm 100000% not supporting:
Leslie with all the guys in school.
