Sorry if I hadn’t post anything, I didn’t have a clue what to post so here’s a meme for your satisfaction
Well, it's finally here! It's been ten years since everyone's favorite blue cat hit televisions across the world.
I don't claim to be the biggest die-hard fan of TAWoG, but my appreciation and genuine love for the show is certainly up there. As I'm writing this, I reflect back on all the show has given me.
I originally discovered Gumball back in the early spring of 2019. I was in 7th grade at the time, and it was completely arbitrary, me clicking on the show. The only reason I even considered watching it was because my parents had told me previously how stupid the show was. That naturally sparked intrigue for me. One day, I came home after school and decided, "Screw it, I'm watching this." The first episode that popped up was The Cringe (my all-time favorite to this day), which was one of the latest episodes released at the time.
I cannot tell you how much I laughed. I like to make a cup of coffee when I come home from school, and I had to set it aside for fear of spitting it all over the couch. I hadn't laughed like that in a long time. It felt...relieving. My parents were right: the show was stupid. But in a good way. A hilarious way. It was hilariously stupid. The rest, as they say, is history. I didn't stop watching it for the rest of the summer. In early July, my family and I moved out of our house, which was a very difficult transition for me because that was the house I felt most attached to. But that's a story for another time. Gumball helped get me through that transition. Anytime I felt sad or defeated or afraid, I would watch an episode or play one of the songs from the show in my head.
Gumball had this miraculous way of introducing an emotion and then bringing it up to the next level. Gumball gave that to me. I am truly thankful for this show and all it has brought me and the fanbase as a whole. I'm so grateful that the fandom isn't dead and incredibly hyped for the upcoming movie.
So today, let's raise a glass to TAWoG. May the show give us many more memories, entertaining afternoons, and plenty more spit takes!
We should enjoy every moment of our life, 'cause it can be very long or very short.
-Gumball Watterson, The End
In the episode “The End”, Nicole says to Gumball “Well, your grandfather lived to be 102. So I wouldn't worry, sweetie.” First of all, if Nicole’s father were to be 102 when he died and Nicole is currently 38, implying it happened before that. That would make Nicole’s father AT LEAST 64 years old at Nicole’s Birth. And later in the episode “The Parents” Nicole’s father appears WELL AND ALIVE probably aged like 60, NOT 102. This is a massive mistake. Also, even if they were talking about Richard’s father and not Nicole’s, that doesn’t work either because he is shown fine later in the series too.
