And I feel like this is written AI because Gumball does NOT ignore Penny. He literally looks at her any chance he gets.

Literally every gumball and penny interaction in season 7 discredits your point. He's very attentive that season and has more respect for her. While he did struggle with boundaries in earlier seasons, I think it's clear he's learned from that.

Gumball also barely ever ignores penny, it's often that he's too obsessed with her. The only ep where he ignored her is "the ex", and he apologized afterwards. Also, their kids, 12 year olds, no one said young love was perfect. And even then, gumball still has done a lot right by her, he supported her and got her out if her shell which made her a lot happier, supported her through her family arguments.

For every bad, there's plenty of good. And by season 7, I can say gumball has definitely grown and developed from then. P.s. Penny isn't completely innocent either, she drags him into her stressfull family drama a lot, and is a bit over aggressive a lot of the time. Luckily a lot of these issues in their relationship were fixed in season 7.
