Firstly, the TWWWOG starts almost identically to the original show. The first episode of both focus solely on Gumball and Darwin, with the rest of the Wattersons either having minor roles or not appearing at all, while the second episode focuses more on the rest of the Wattersons (although Nicole is more prominent than the others in TWWWOG's second episode).
"The Wrinkle" starts in a very similar manner to Season 6's "The Brain", with both beginning with Anais being checked on by the doctor. The premises are similar as well, although instead of the Wattersons' stupidity causing Anais brain damage, it instead causes her to get wrinkles.
Gumball and Darwin stopping time in "The Boring" was a concept originally used in "The Countdown" (although the way they stop time is very different)
"The Thing" has a similar premise to "The Fuss", with both revolving around Richard trying to remember something important that Nicole doesn't outright say at any point.
Gumball being jealous of Darwin's relationships with Tobias and Banana Joe were both present in "The Third" and "The Promise" respectively.
