I've been thinking these days about this, Mario and Sonic are Ocho's uncle, who are his aunts? Could it be that Princess Peach and Amy Rose are Ocho's aunts?
Could possibly be them but I don't think that the "Mario" was the actual one.

Yep it would be Peach and Amy. Funny how the 2 rival games run into each other.
Edit: Sonic is SEGA and Super Mario Bros. is Nintendo.
